FAQs

FAQs

You'll find answers to my most frequently asked questions below
  • Where are you based?

Tanya's Baking is based in Buckshaw Village, Chorley (PR7) at a private residential address. Once you have placed an order, I will provide you with my full address & directions.

  • How do I place an order/enquire?

The quickest way to place an order is via direct message on my Facebook or Instagram page (Search 'Tanyas Baking' on either)

You can also use the contact page on my website (here), or email me at info@tanyasbaking.co.uk

All enquiries will be responded to within 24 hours. My inbox hours are Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm. Messages outside of these hours will be replied to the next working day.

NB: I don't have a business phoneline as I'm often busy baking in the kitchen and unable to take calls. It's best to make inital contact via email/message to ensure I have your chosen date available and can fulfill the order. If you then want to discuss further details over the phone, this is something that can be arranged at a time to suit us both.

  • Are orders collection or delivery?

All orders* are collection only between the following hours:

    Tue-Fri: 9am-6pm

    Sat: 9am-11am

    Sun & Mon: CLOSED

If these times do not suit, please let me know at the time of booking so I can accommodate you. Please note an additional out of hours fee may apply.

Collection is from a private residential address in Buckshaw Village, Chorley (PR7).

    *The exceptions...

    1. Delivery is essential for 3 tier cakes as they require assembly on site.

    2. Delivery is common for Wedding cakes due to the nature of the event.

A bespoke fee will apply to ALL deliveries - this is calculated based on your venue location and time needed to set up whilst there. To check if your venue is one I will travel to, please get in touch here.

  • How much notice do you need?

You can book in up to 12 months ahead for any order, or up to two years ahead for Weddings. I recommend a minimum of 4-5 weeks notice but if your occasion is sooner, please ask & I'll do my best to fit you in.

Take a look at my current availability here - Availability.

Please bare in mind when it comes to dates near main holidays (Valentines/Easter/Christmas etc.) and bank holidays - the more notice I have, the better chance I'll be able to fit you in.

  • Do I need to pay a deposit to book in?

Yes. No order is booked in until I have received your deposit & all deposits are non-refundable.

    Orders under £40: £10 deposit

    Orders over £40: £20 deposit

    Weddings: £60 deposit

Balances are due when you collect (I'll usually message to remind you 2-3 days before).

Wedding balance are due no later than 7 days before.

  • Do you make Christmas/Easter treats?

Absolutely! When it comes to the main seasonal holidays, I release a set menu of bakes on my Facebook & Instagram page. Orders are first come, first served so knowing when they go live is  a must.

Check this page for more info: Seasonal Boxes.

  • Are your bakes gluten or dairy free?

Unfortunately not. All of my bakes contain eggs, wheat (gluten) and milk (soya), and I don't currently offer any alternatives.

The majority of my bakes are vegetarian friendly.

    Some items contain nuts.

All of my products come with a basic allergen sticker showing what allergen ingredients are within the product. However, if you do have any concerns, please let me know at the time of ordering.
